Technician Assistant Job Overview

We're seeking a Technician Assistant to support our drywall technicians on job sites. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in drywall repair and construction, working alongside a team of skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare daily job orders using our internal system

  • Assist lead technicians with drywall patching, taping, sanding, and cleanup

  • Gather and load materials and tools before each job

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the day

  • Transport debris and waste to appropriate disposal areas

  • Communicate with the Service Manager for weekly check-ins and updates

  • Provide professional, courteous service to customers at each site

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn the drywall trade

  • Reliable transportation to job sites across North San Diego County

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to lift materials and work on ladders when needed

  • Previous construction or handyman experience is a plus, but not required

Benefits & Compensation

  • Hourly pay: $15–$19 per hour (based on experience)

  • Paid time off: 5 paid sick days + 5 paid vacation days per year

  • Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
